MEAB bank was named Energy Ambassador of the Year 2019 by the International Beirut Energy Forum (IBEF) - the leading forum for energy professionals in the region.

A proud sponsor of the event, MEAB bank was honoured to receive recognition for its achievements in sustainability. The bank was awarded for providing the highest ceiling for energy and water efficiency loans in 2019.

Chairman of the Board Ali Hejeij gave us a peak into MEAB bank’s mindset as he claimed the award. He believes that the award strengthens the high standards and core values that MEAB bank seeks to preserve, and falls perfectly in line with the bank’s strategy for sustainable progress.

The Chairman is also confident about the country’s ability to overcome the environmental crisis. He states that MEAB bank wants to encourage investment in potential solutions, and that the year 2020 will be tackled with the same ambition.

On September 11, 2015, MEAB bank was named “Best Retail Bank, Lebanon” by World Finance Magazine. According to the magazine, the award recognizes MEAB bank for its excellent customer care, easy-to-use internet banking platform, competitive interest rates and its high level of compliance with international standards.

The 2015 World Finance Banking Awards has honored the very best of global banking each year since 2007, celebrating achievement, innovation and brilliance throughout the industry. Award recipients are chosen by an expert judging panel and informed by a research team, the magazine’s 230 years of financial and business journalistic experience and the insight of the World Finance readership.

In 2012, World Finance also awarded MEAB bank the title of “Best Private Bank in Lebanon,” recognizing the bank’s leadership in the Lebanese market.

A distinction from Germany’s second largest bank, the STP Award recognizes MEAB bank’s international excellence in banking.

On June 12, 2013, MEAB bank was designated “Fasting Growing Bank in Lebanon” by CPI Financial. MEAB bank Chairman Kassem M. Hejeij accepted the award during the 13th annual Banker Middle East Industry Awards ceremony in Dubai.
